Editions: Free and Pro
mobiCut comes in two editions. Both are the same app; Pro unlocks a few extras. Back to the home page.
Free is free forever, and ad-free forever
The Free edition will always be free, and it will always be free of ads. No ads in Free, none in Pro, never: not now, not after the Play Store launch, not ever. Free is a complete video editor, not a trial. There's no time limit and no nagging.

The Free edition's limits
These are the only differences. Everything else works the same in Free.
- Source videos up to 1 hour. The video you start a project from can be at most 60 minutes long. A shorter cut of a longer flight needs Pro.
- A small mobiCut logo (the app icon and the name) in the top right corner of every exported video. It also shows in the preview, so what you see is what you get.
- Exports up to 1080p at 30 fps. A video filmed in 4K or at 50/60 fps exports at 1080p and 30 fps; Pro exports it as filmed. Videos filmed at 1080p/30 fps or less export as they are.
- Fade out-in is the only transition. Fades between segments and fade in/out at the start and end are included; the Interleave crossfade is Pro.
- Paths drawn by hand are Pro. The AI path is free: circle a glider and a text or graphic follows it. Drawing the path with your finger is Pro. Graphics, texts, text slides, pictures and several videos in a project are all free.
In the app, Pro-only features carry an orange PRO badge. In Free they stay visible but locked; tapping one tells you what it does.
Switching to Free never deletes anything. If a project uses Pro features (for example Interleave transitions), they stay saved and come back when you switch to Pro again.
Getting Pro on Google Play
In the Google Play version, Pro is bought through Google Play. There are two ways:
| Option | For whom |
|---|---|
| Yearly subscription, renews automatically, with a free first week | You edit regularly through the season |
| One month, doesn't renew | You edit occasionally, say after a holiday or a competition |
Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, as Google Play sets them.
Try Pro free for a week
The yearly subscription starts with 7 days free, once per Google account:
- Tap a Pro feature or Upgrade; while you can still get the trial, the button reads Try Pro free for 7 days, with the yearly price under it.
- Google Play asks for a payment method but charges nothing for 7 days. Pro unlocks right away.
- Cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions: you keep Pro until the week is over and pay nothing. If you don't cancel, the yearly subscription starts on day 8.
mobiCut never nags about it: the trial is offered where Pro is offered anyway (a locked feature, or Upgrade on the welcome screen), and once after your first export in Free: Like your video? Try Pro free for 7 days. Not now closes it for good. There are no other pop-ups, reminders or countdowns.
Whatever you choose, the Free edition stays free and without ads, and switching back to Free never deletes anything.
