Tips
The first time you reach a button or a part of the screen, mobiCut can point at it with a short tip: the rest of the screen dims, the control gets an orange outline, and a bubble says what it does.
What a tip looks like
- Got it closes the tip. Tapping anywhere else closes it too.
- Skip all tips closes it and marks every tip as seen.
Each tip shows once. You get at most three in one go (each time you open the app), one at a time, and never while a sheet or dialog is open, or while you capture a path, draw or export. Using a feature counts as having seen its tip: if you tap Split before its tip shows, it won't.
Which tips
| Where | Points at |
|---|---|
| Projects | New project |
| The editor | The timeline, Split, Text, Export |
| Editing a text or graphic | The preview (move, resize, turn) and the Motion tab |
New installs and updates
If you install mobiCut new, you get every tip. If you update from a version before tips and already have projects, you know the basics: you only get tips for features that come later. A new feature in a later release may come with a tip pointing at its button, alongside the What's new notes.
Show tips again
Settings (the gear on the projects screen) → Show tips again brings every tip back, the basics too. The settings close, and the tips show again as you go.
